Of all the Superbowl parties where one could part with their hard earned cash, we decided on T-Pain's..because of the advertising (See add at the end)

What a Disappointment !!!! We went on Saturday Night, hoping to be somewhat entertained, if not have an experience somewhat better than the ordinary club weekend - especially for the prices that were being demanded - What a DIVE !!!!

If you were not in VIP, you would have been even more pissed. Imagine a condemned building...that was the "unique atmosphere" of the location for Non-VIP. The VIP area was a little better, but nothing to write home about - I saw only one truly recognizable Celebrity - Jeffrey Wright, star of the movie "Cadillac Records", where he played the incomparable Muddy Waters.....early in the evening I overheard him asking..."Where's T-Pain?"

Drinks were exorbitantly priced, but it was Superbowl weekend....In the end it was not the venue, nor the price of libations, nor the lack of a theme that was disappointing so much the fact that at 1:30AM (Just as Mr. Wright was leaving) T-Pain was yet to show....the party was scheduled to end at 3AM!

Now I have no idea if he (T-Pain) even bothered showing up (Since we promptly followed Mr. Wright out the door) - Maybe he had better things to do....

We truly felt like we'd been swindled, false advertisement and all...this is why in the age of electronic music and piracy, I have little compassion for an industry that reveres the artist at the expense of th fan....
