Do you have what it takes to make a HIT Record or Song!
Not every song that a person come up with is considered a hit song not even close to a hit record. The number of units sold do not automaticly make you rich either nor a celebrity. Being in the business for only a short period of time (4 years) can be frustrating and pretty much annoying. You may have hit songs and beats but they first, must be heard by the right people. Family and friends are going to be your first audience and also your worst cridicts. Second comes the general public. If you think that your family and friends were tough enough then you may quit after this one. One, you have people out here in this world that spend all of their time putting other people down and trying to lift themselves up or they try to make themselves look good by nick picking others (Ebonics: Haters). How do you get the right people to hear your music....
Very good question, when you find out let me know but when you figure it out you will soon forget about us anyways. The answer to this question is by a question or many, do you love your music, do you have a passion for it, what are you willing to do to get there, WHO DO YOU KNOW THAT HAVE ALREADY MADE IT, by now you see where I am going with this. T-Pain had to do the leg work to get to where he is now. When he first started doing the old Zap and Roger's thang (zylaphone) they did not think that it was hot. Matter of fact they thought that it would not catch on or that it have already been done and that fashion have already set sail. I love to say this so noone else is allowed to say this: If you don't invest in yourselves, how do you expect for someone else to invest in you. If you don't get your music recorded then how can you let people hear them when they do not come to your shows or gigs? If you do not set goals then how do you know where you are or where you are going? What if you have done all of these things and tried even more until you got exhausted and frustrated. You Just Keep Trying. Sell your self to your audience, loyal fans, fam and friends. I stopped trying to get the labels attention and I started doing what I do. It is different and strange but at the same time you know that I did my homework and put in the overtime. I master, sound engineer, produce, create beats, mix, and even do my own artist developement with local talent and other small time producers etc.
By now you are tired of reading, so tell me how you made it to where you are now. We all have come a long ways in some way as long as you did not quit. Lets work together and not against one another. Let's figure out this together. I am a one stop shop and all the things that I do not know how to do I learn how to do it. Give me some feedback with you honest opinions.
